A review that’s been removed is still visible in Trustindex
Summary:If a review has already been removed from the original review platform but is still visible in your Trustindex widget, don’t worry — this usually resolves automatically. Trustindex syncs review data from the original platform, so temporary delays can occur.
Why is the removed review still showing?
Trustindex does not control reviews independently. We display reviews based on data provided by the original review platform (such as Google, Facebook, etc.).
If a review was recently deleted or removed on the original platform, it may still appear in Trustindex temporarily due to synchronization timing.
How long does it take to update?
In most cases, the system updates automatically after the next data refresh cycle. Once the original platform fully removes the review from their public data, it will also disappear from your Trustindex widget.
The exact timing depends on the external platform’s update frequency, which is outside of our control.
Can I speed up the process?
Yes. If you’d like to remove it from display more quickly:
Mark the review as SPAM
Go to your Trustindex dashboard
Find the review in question
Mark it as SPAM and use the Hide function
This will immediately hide it from your widget while the automatic synchronization completes in the background.
Important to know
Trustindex is fully dependent on the data provided by the original review platforms. If a review still exists in their system (even temporarily), it may still appear in our display.
If the review remains visible for an unusually long time after being removed from the original platform, feel free to contact our support team.
